Tourism is recognized as a high priority industry capable of effectively driving the country’s Economic Development. To ensure rapid growth of tourism in the future, tourism promotion will have to be complemented with infrastructure development.

In terms of the Budget 2018, Ministry of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs was allocated a sum of Rs.40.00 million to implement Tourism Human Capital.
