












The government has given the approval to issue soft liquor licenses to all hotels and restaurants registered with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), and tourist establishments located in areas identified by the Authority, as a measure to boost the tourism sector.





AZUR Air ZF 611 flight carrying 335 passengers arrived at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport from Moscow, Russia this morning. Accordingly, direct flights are going to be operated from the cities of Venukovo, Tolmachevo, Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg in Russia. Also, these flights will be operated on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.






This will enable the tourist to use a USD Pre Paid Card to Purchase Fuel at 300+ Fuel Stations across the country. The card will be available at Airport Dialog & Sampath Bank Counters & can be topped up at Sampath Bank Branches.
Further, Minister of Subject Kanchana Wijesekara thanked the development partners, CPC, LIOC & Ministry of Tourism & Lands, and several other IT institutions for assisting in implementing the Tourist Fuel Pass Pre Paid Card System.
